It introduces you when you join a call
When you join a call in a server that runs GroupFinds, your card is posted once in that call’s own chat, so the people there know who just arrived. At most once a day in each server, nobody is pinged, and it shows only the parts you switched on.
New Passports start with this on. To switch it off or on, type /gf-passport, pick Settings and press Introduce me when I join a call.
See it and switch it on
In Discord, type /gf-passport. Only you see the reply.
It shows your Passport as it is today. If nothing is switched on yet, one button switches on exactly the parts it lists. To choose parts one by one, type /gf-passport and pick Settings. To post it in a chat, pick Share.
Your Passport opens after an hour in voice calls. Until then, /gf-passport shows how close you are, and only you see it. Settings live in Discord because Discord confirms it is really you. Nobody else can change your Passport.
Use it in any server
That adds GroupFinds to your own Discord account rather than to a server. It asks for no server permissions.
Then /gf-passport works for you in every server you are in, even servers without GroupFinds, and in your DMs. Your voice time still only counts in servers that run GroupFinds.
In a server without GroupFinds your Passport reply is private to you. Share can post it for everyone, unless that server keeps apps that members add to their own accounts private.
What you can show
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Voice hours | Your total hours in voice calls, across servers running GroupFinds. |
| Time in each server | How long you have been in each server, like 3 years in a server. |
| Server names | Name the servers. A name only shows if that server’s owner also allows it. |
| Years active | How long ago your earliest server join was. |
| Longest streak | Your longest run of days in a row with time in a call. |
| Top spots | Servers where you are in the top 10 percent for voice time. |
| Rarity | Where your hours rank against everyone GroupFinds counts. |
| Call buddies | Hours shared with a friend. Shows only if they switched this on too. |
| Joined and left | How many servers you joined and how many you left. |
| Arrival cards | Post your card once when you join a server, or once when you are next active in one. |
| Public page | A page on groupfinds.com showing the fields you switched on. |
Switching off deletes it
Type /gf-passport and pick Delete, or use the delete button in Settings. Your Passport numbers, call buddy pairs, cards and public page are deleted, not just hidden.
A server’s own levelling records, like its voice minutes and XP, stay with that server, because its levelling features use them. Those were never part of your Passport.
No list of bans, timeouts or kicks from other servers is ever kept or shown, for anyone.
What the numbers cover
Voice time counts from when GroupFinds began recording each server, not from before.
Join dates come from Discord for servers you are in now. Joins and leaves from before GroupFinds was in a server are not known, so joined and left only covers what it has seen.
For server owners and staff
Both settings start off. Staff with Manage Server run /gf-passport-server.
Cards: post an opted-in member’s card once when they arrive, or once on their next visit if they were already here. Needs Manage Server.
Name: let members show this server’s name on their Passport. Only the server owner can turn this on. When it is off, the server shows as a server, without its name.
